The Group is open to young people aged 12 -20 years of age. \nFree To Be You aims to provide: \n\na safe\, autonomous\, supervised space for LGBTQIA+ young people\na social network and friendships between young people which may not be available to them otherwise. The Group is open to young people aged 12 -20 years of age. \nFree To Be You aims to provide: \n\na safe\, autonomous\, supervised space for LGBTQIA+ young people\na social network and friendships between young people which may not be available to them otherwise. DESCRIPTION:Art therapy can provide therapeutic interventions through the use of visual arts\, including drawing\, painting\, art journaling\, mixed media and sculpture\, for mental health diagnoses\, wellbeing\, early intervention and developmental disorders.\nArts therapies can help people to resolve conflicts\, develop interpersonal skills\, manage behaviour\, reduce stress\, increase self-esteem and achieve insight. \nArt therapy utilises visual art-making to improve physical\, mental and emotional well-being. It can be done with individuals or groups using art processes such as painting to create meaning. \nArts therapy can be helpful for people who cannot verbalise their feelings due to developmental\, cognitive or other conditions. \nPSFaNS Art Therapy is for current clients only. Places are limited. Ask your PSFaNS worker for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Free To Be You is a drop in afternoon for young people in Port Stephens who identify as LGBTQIA+ or who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity.\nFree To Be You is held at The Deck in Raymond Terrace from 2:00pm – 5:00pm every second Monday during school terms. The Group is open to young people aged 12 -20 years of age. \nFree To Be You aims to provide: \n\na safe\, autonomous\, supervised space for LGBTQIA+ young people\na social network and friendships between young people which may not be available to them otherwise.
