You Speak – Domestic and Family Violence Program

For young women and gender non-conforming individuals.

You Speak is an 8-week program about gender, violence, and injustice for young women and gender non-conforming individuals.

You Speak has been developed by Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services (PSFaNS) in collaboration with young people in our community to address gender inequality and violence.

The programs aims to educate young people about the nature of violence. Each week we will sit with young people, discuss different topics, and listen to their lived experience and expertise.

We hope to empower young people to have meaningful conversations with their peers and develop respectful relationships with those around them. Our hope is that young people we be able to name injustice when they see or feel it and know they are never alone in their experiences.

We run workshops in and/or with Port Stephens high schools each term. If you are interested in accessing this program for your school or group, give us a call on 49 800 800.
